The story of Peter Pan first appeared in book as the novel Peter and Wendy in 1911. Although the play Peter Pan was written and first performed in 1904, it was not published until 1928. The text of this book is based on the 1928 Library Edition of the play, published by Hodder and Stoughthon Ltd. which contains Barrie s embellished stage directions, and his final revisions.
