The reminiscences of one of the star singers and musicians of the end of the eighteenth and the beginning of the nineteenth centuries. Born in Ireland, Kelly worked all over Europe, especially in Rome and Vienna (where he created the roles of Don Basilio and Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart on 1 May 1786). The Folio edition was the first printing of his Reminiscences since 1826, and was expertly edited by Herbert van Thal. Introduction by J C Trewin.
