Description

The Iliad by Homer

An ancient Greek epic poem, traditionally attributed to Homer. Set during the Trojan War, the ten-year siege of the city of Troy (Ilium) by a coalition of Greek states, it tells of the battles and events during the weeks of a quarrel between King Agamemnon and the warrior Achilles. In Contemporary Verse by Robert Fitzgerald.

Sadly this book has had some water contact which has left some buckling to the bottom centimetre of some of the pages at the back of this book, hence the low price of this superb book. The quality of the paper and gold edging has left each page safely separate from the ones before and after.

This book comes with the original booklet ‘Notes from the Editors’.
