Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (13 November 1850 – 3 December 1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist, and travel writer. His best-known books include Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. A literary celebrity during his lifetime, Stevenson now ranks among the 26 most translated authors in the world.
Illustrated by many different artists including the outstanding Charles Keeping.
In 1890 Stevenson purchased a tract of land in Upolu, an island in Samoa.
He took the native name Tusitala (Samoan for “Teller of Tales”, i.e. a storyteller).

    I have a set of 26 The Works of Robert Louis Stevenson published by The Waverley Book Co Ltd, 96 Farringdon Street, specially prepared for subscribers. Blue board covers in the pattern of a period Leather Binding. Bright Gilt Lettering and Decoration to spines, and gold top pages. Very good condition.

    My father-in-law recently died and we found he had the complete 23 volume set of Robert Louis Stevenson, in good to excellent condition. Can you ball park what they might be worth?
