Five Plays by Maxim Gorky. Maxim Gorky was the pen name of Alexander Peshkov. He laid the foundations of young post revolutionary literature. He was a radical writer and spent some time in exile. His plays were often performed at the Moscow Arts Theatre. The five plays featured in this edition are: The Petty Bourgeois, The Lowe Depths (for which he won world wide acclaim), Summer Folk (scenes), Enemies (scenes) and Old Man.
